We’re looking for people who are quick learners, able to dive right in, and provide positive value to other team members in a short time. Can do attitude a must.  Expected to work in a very close-knit team, take directions and help give them as well, and be highly motivated to project and company success. Measurements of performance are by tangible results, not appearances of effort.  Quick advancement provided for those who are able to contribute at a higher level than their current position.

Duties: Expected to be able to design, modify, develop, write and implement embedded software to completion with some oversight. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.  Will be asked to performs a variety of complicated tasks. Perfection in project completion, in a timely fashion, is the rule, not the exception.  Quality is designed in, not tested in.  May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of, and thorough experience with, software engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Sufficient experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Ability to provide projects that are not just done on time, but have all content complete and of highest quality.
  • Experience in C/C++ and networking a must.
  • Skill in Linux programming and scripting languages a major plus, but for quick learners not mandatory.

Sales (San Jose, CA)

Senior Systems Engineer

We're looking for a team-oriented, highly effective and motivated individual.  This position reports to the VP Worldwide Sales.

Duties: Work with the rest of the Talari team to evaluate customer requirements, design network solutions, deliver sales presentations, present technical product and service information, conduct product demonstrations, install product evaluations, and contribute to the technical development of Talari partners.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to interface directly with customers and partners to coordinate and carry out successful/professional customer meetings, demos, and installations.
  • Minimum of 5 years general networking industry experience, including a practicing knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN internetworking.
  • Experience/expertise in selling/supporting/installing enterprise networking infrastructure, especially with Cisco IOS router platforms, and with firewalls and IPSEC/SSL VPNs systems.
  • Must have demonstrated strong written, oral, and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive level technical decision-makers.
  • Experience/expertise with WAN optimization products a big plus.
  • Must be comfortable in a start-up environment.
    • Comfortable at a hands-on technical level
    • Also comfortable speaking and presenting on technical concepts to executives
    • Self starter with a ‘can do' attitude
  • While this is an individual contributor role, past experience managing people and/or ability to grow professionally a big plus.
