Scott Bradner
Technology Security Officer, Harvard University
Scott has been involved in the design, operation, and use of data networks at Harvard University since the early days of ARPANET. He was involved in the design of the original Harvard data networks, the Longwood Medical Area network (LMAnet) and New England Academic and Research Network (NEARnet). He was founding chair of the technical committees of LMAnet, NEARnet and the Corporation for Research and Enterprise Network (CoREN). Scott served in a number of roles in the IETF. He was the co-director of the Operational Requirements Area (1993-1997), IPng Area (1993-1996), Transport Area (1997-2003) and Sub-IP Area (2001-2003). He was a member of the IESG (1993-2003) and was an elected trustee of the Internet Society (1993-1999), where he currently serves as the Secretary to the Board of Trustees. Scott is also a trustee of the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN). Scott helps the Harvard community handle technology-related privacy and security issues. He also provides technical advice and guidance on issues relating to the Harvard data networks and new technologies to Harvard's CIO. He founded the Harvard Network Device Test Lab, is a frequent speaker at technical conferences, a weekly columnist for Network World, and is an independent consultant.

Alan "Al" Etterman
Senior Vice President, Corporate Services; Chief Information Officer, JDSU
Al is responsible for JDSU's corporate services organizations, Information Technology, Human Resources, Workplace Solutions, Customer Service and the Corporate Program Office. As part of JDSU's Executive Management team he has been integral in JDSU's transformation to a portfolio corporate structure and the creation of the JDSU Business System Platform.
Before joining JDSU he was Senior Vice President of Corporate Infrastructure and CIO at Openwave Systems where he was part of the Executive Management team that was focused on the company's transformation to profitability. In 2001, he co-founded and was Chief Operating Officer for TheoryR Capital Partners a technology based hedge fund. Prior to that, Etterman was Cisco's Senior Director of Global communications and technology services where he ran Cisco’s internal network and implemented the world's first large scale (10,000+ lines) voice over Internet protocol communications system. Al’s experience also includes management roles at 3Com Corporation, IBM RealCom, LinCom, InteCom, and GTE Automatic Electric.
David Flynn
CEO, Aerohive Networks, Inc.
David has more than 15 years experience in the networking and security industries working with both software and hardware products. He was Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at NetScreen Technologies from 1999 to 2004 where he drove marketing, product and corporate strategy leading to a successful IPO and the eventual $4 billion sale of the company to Juniper Networks. At Juniper, David served as Vice President of Products for the Security Products Group. Prior to NetScreen he worked at 3Com Corporation for 8 years, where he held various marketing and product management positions including Vice President of Marketing for the architecture and software operation in the Client Access Business Unit. David has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor's degree in economics from Williams College.
Joe Furgerson
Vice President of Strategy, Mu Dynamics
Joe has extensive experience in routing and networking technologies, having spent eight years at 3Com Corporation before joining Juniper Networks as its first Vice President of Marketing and Product Management in January 1997. Joe's positioning strategies helped develop a strong public image that elevated Juniper's market visibility index and established the company as a technical innovator, a results-oriented company, and a significant competitor in the routing market. Subsequent to Juniper Networks, Joe has consulted with multiple startups on strategy and marketing. He has an MBA from Stanford University and a BA in economics from Claremont McKenna College.
Mike Lloyd, PhD
Chief Scientist, RedSeal Systems
Mike's 20-year professional and academic experience includes thought leadership and execution in the building of large-scale modeling and analysis systems. Prior to RedSeal Systems, Mike served as Chief Technologist for the Assured Networks division of Avaya. His prior experience also includes CTO and principle architect roles in route control technology and MPLS VPN provisioning systems. Mike has co-authored several patents on routing optimization and network traffic security, and actively collaborates on projects between academic and commercial research institutions.
Peter Long
Founder & Consultant, In Systems, Pty. Ltd
Peter is currently the founder and managing partner at In Systems - a Melbourne, Australia based data and voice networking consultancy company. Previously, he was a Cisco Systems marketing executive brings a track record of success with more than 20 years of experience in high-technology marketing, product management and large-scale product deployment. He was at Cisco for 8 years, most recently, as Director, Marketing, where he led global product management for Cisco IOS. He also held roles as the VP Marketing at netZentry, Inc. and at Accenia, Inc, and as a networking consultant at Telstra, where he helped build Telstra’s first nationwide business Intranet. Peter has an MBA in Marketing and Business Strategy from Monash University, and a B. Sc(Hons) from the University of Melbourne.
Jeff Thermond
President and CEO, Woven Systems
Jeff's 30-year career encompasses an impressive track record in leading and growing large organizations in global broadband and data networking markets. He led the team that established Broadcom's first foray into wireless products which grew to a quarter of a billion dollars in five quarters. Before becoming a part of Broadcom, Jeff was the CEO of Epigram which pioneered the high speed home networking marketplace for semiconductors, which has grown into a multi-hundred million dollar market today. He later architected the sale of Epigram to Broadcom for what was the largest amount ever paid for a pre-revenue semiconductor start-up. He also served as vice president and general manager of 3Com's enterprise router business, growing it from $60 million to $350 million during his tenure. Jeff holds an MBA in marketing from Indiana University and a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from Yale University.
